Congratulations to Jon & Eilene I on the birth of a son, Shaun Robert, on Tuesday, November 11!
Please continue to pray for Lou & Rena C and their health concerns.
“The T family would like to thank the congregation and Pastor Mark for your many prayers and expressions of sympathy in the loss of our father and grandfather. Truly we felt God’s presence of Christian love in this time of loss and celebration of Dad’s long life.”
We ask that you also continue to pray for Joanne D as she is unable to get out as much.
Please pray for patience for John and Cathy E as Cathy awaits her transplant.
CONGREGATIONAL ANNOUNCEMENTS
Don’t give up giving it up!—If you’ve been working through this year’s World Hunger devotionals you’ve learned that there are lots of great ways we can give it up to help hungry people around the world. Each and every day 26,000 children die from hunger and poverty-related conditions. You can make a difference by filling your Peter Fish! Banks will be collected on Thanksgiving Morning or you may place them in the box in the foyer next week if you will be out of town on Thanksgiving Day.
Thanksgiving Offering Envelopes are in your mailbox today along with a list of approved causes that you may wish to donate to. Extra envelopes are available on the narthex counter.
Remember to use your GEMS Jewel Shop & Share Certificates on Monday, Tuesday & Wednesday (11/17, 11/18/ 11/19) of this week.
CPR Class: A CPR/First Aid Training Class will be offered here this Tuesday, November 18 from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. This class is recommended for all nursery helpers, group leaders, teachers, and anyone else who is interested. Journey of Joy is just three weeks away! Word of mouth has proven to be our most effective, and cost efficient, form of advertising. You have invitations in your mailbox today. Please make a point of inviting three families (relatives, neighbors, co-workers, etc.) to experience the Journey of Joy! Extra invitations are available on the tables in the narthex.
Also, if you are willing to place a sign on your front lawn, please let Chris S know TODAY or TOMORROW so the signs can be ordered.
College Kids Care Packs: We are once again providing a bag of goodies for our college kids to help see them through exam time. Donations are being accepted in the church office through Monday, the 24th. Monetary donations can be put in Mary Ds mailbox. Need other ideas? Think about gum, Gatorade, 100 calorie snack packs, mints, etc. We have 37 kids in college! The bags will be packed on Tuesday, November 25, 7:00 p.m.
